Description:
A platformer from the mid '80s. You are Brucy with a wicked kick and punch combination from mighty publishers Ocean. Eliminate the bad guys on each level and collect the lanterns to open the exit and delve deeper into the palace!

Object:
Bruce must collect all the lanterns on each screen to progress throughout the levels. Some levels/stages can only be accessed when all the yellow lanterns are collected on certain screens. Bruce must contend with two bad dudes, out to hamper his every move. There is a nice variety of colour and design on each of the levels - not just your everyday jump and collect genre type. Climb waterfalls, jump conveyor belts and cross bridges.

Criticism:
The only issues that most gamers had with Bruce Lee, was that it was too easy! There are only two enemies on screen at one time and these guys are easily dispensed with several flying kicks- They disappear and return but they require no more tactics than previously used in order to dispatch them once again.

Having said that, it still is a super little gem. Addictive. Nice colour and screens well designed.

Sound & Graphics:

Nothin' much to say about sound in Bruce Lee- since it is sparse and limited to only a few action moves, and even then they are nothing more than a few muted beeps.

The graphics however, work nicely and there are plenty of levels to complete. Some background movement is also nice such as the waterfall and adds that little extra to the standard static backgrounds and scenery of most platforms of the time.
