Description:
Summer's over and your back to skool! You have a 'revised' school report and you must place it back in the headmaster's safe.. and so it starts.

Taking on from Skool Daze, you play Eric whose return to school brings some interesting challenges and interactions with teachers and your school chums. Interaction is the game here; contact with other pupils and teachers allows you to make progress. Weapons are plentiful, such as a Stink Bomb, a Catapult, a Water-pistol but a run in with a teacher can result in getting lines. Accumulate too many lines and your game is over.

As Eric, you can- Ride a bike, punch others (including girls), write on the blackboard and use other characters to help you. This means that the game is much more in-depth than Skool Daze and was another hit from Imagine publishers.

Overall

History:
Sequel to Skool Daze and released about a year afterwards. It maintained the theme but many improvements were also introduced, such as better graphics, more interaction with characters and smoother animation.

Criticism:

It will take a few games of Back To Skool to get accustomed to the gameplay. However, you'll soon get stuck in and find the gameplay is smooth and logical. You'll need to keep an eye on the status bar at the bottom which tells you your progress and gives score and room info etc.

Sound & Graphics:

Sound is limited, but this takes little from the atmosphere of the game.

Graphics are superb. Great use of 3d and perspective using shadows and colours, which means that the rooms within the school are much more recognisable such as the Cloakroom, Library, Toilets and Classrooms.

All in all, a sequel hit with well deserved hit reviews from the speccy mags at the time.
